This national flag is inscribed: “Pittsburg Landing….., SHILOH April 6…..,32nd Regt Ills Infn….., SIEGE of C…., MATAMORA…” Some of the inscription has been lost. The oval star arrangement is typical of flags manufactured in Philadel-phia.
